The first day is done!

After leaving home at 3 pm with our well-packed "Carlo", it took a bit longer to get the first few kilometers behind us due to heavy traffic in Germany. But at the end of the day, we still crossed the 600 km mark and looked for a suitable place for the first night in Belgium. Since it was already very late, we ended up at the parking lot of a rest area near Mons. The plan was to leave again around 4 am to avoid rush hour traffic around Paris. However, our lack of sleep from the previous night changed our plans and we woke up well-rested at 6:30 am. Quickly brushing our teeth outside and getting some coffee - let's continue.
