Now I have arrived on La Palma. On a farm that practices permaculture. Permaculture is the attempt to optimally use the processes in nature for the production of food in harmony with nature. That's the idea, unfortunately the implementation is terrible, and I have enough experience in ecological farming to see that someone here is using this ideal to live as lazy as possible and let everything go to waste.. There is little to harvest here, and preparing beds or propagating plants is not part of our tasks here. At least we are here with 4 'workawayers', people who want to contribute their time and effort for food and accommodation. Unfortunately, the weather is really bad here in the green north of the island, so after 10 days of boredom I have decided to take a vacation on the sunny side. Tomorrow I will leave my workplace where I have at least learned how to play backgammon, and continue to explore the island. Hiking in the beautiful nature is on the agenda, as well as breaks on the beach and exploring the nice little towns.
