Tue 17.01 - Sun 22.01

On Tuesday morning, we wanted to make our way to our Helpexchange host - unfortunately Fritz was late as usual, so we argued with each other for a while.

At around 11 o'clock, we finally set off to Edwina's place.

Edwina is around 40 years old and usually lives with her husband Doug and their 5-year-old daughter Anoushka, but they were visiting Nooshi's grandparents in Australia for 2 weeks. Edwina stayed at home because she had to renew her law exams (she hadn't worked for 5 years and wanted to start again soon).

We were provided with accommodation and dinner for 2 hours of work per day. We tidied up their daughter's room, weeded their vegetable gardens, and painted their dining room. Since we worked longer on Thursday and Friday, we had Saturday and Sunday off.

We watched the new Star Wars movie, wandered through the city center, visited the Baldwin Street (the steepest residential street in the world), went to the Otago Peninsula and Sandfly Bay (although it was very windy, cold, and foggy there - the weather was generally pretty bad that week).

All in all, it was quite relaxed with Edwina and we're glad that we saved some money.😄
