The first morning in Miami started with a hearty breakfast and then we started our exploration tour of the city. First stop: South Beach and the famous Ocean Drive. Art Deco and a wide sandy beach garnished with 'Candy colored Liveguard Towers' are probably the most impressive things about this place. Otherwise, it should be noted that it is mainly a quite expensive little town. According to the travel guide, some sights were a staircase (original location in the movie Scarface) and the villa of fashion designer Gianni Versace, on whose steps he famously lost his life. After a few overpriced drinks and a swim in the ocean, we continued to Little Havana on Calle Ocho. When we arrived there, the first stop was Barberia el Figaro, Matzi needed a new haircut. In a quite unusual way, he got a proper summer cut. Afterwards, we tried some Colombian delicacies and mixed with the people. Salsa and domino clubs, small bars, and cigar shops shaped the street scene, along with plenty of colorful murals and music coming from every corner, creating an authentic atmosphere. We ended the evening at the hotel pool, cooling down in 35 degrees Celsius. ;-)
