Despite the very cold night, we slept well. We enjoyed the fresh baguette and continued on west.
At the first toll station, we wait with excitement to see if our electronic toll collection device from BiP & Go is working. A quiet beep, the barrier opens, and we are finally free of the hassle of falling credit cards and arms that are too short at the machine!
In the best weather we take a short lunch break in Creusot at the Château de de la Verrerie.
We actually wanted to spend the night in the small town of Jarnages, but both the parking space and the only possibility to get something to eat are bleak.
So we drive to Gueret to the campsite de Courtille, which is idyllically situated by a lake. Dinner in a nearby snack bar.
