18.08. Stockholm

After a short move to a hub spot, we start walking towards the subway to take the 10 stations to the city. A ticket is quickly purchased from the friendly railway employee and we are already sitting on the train heading towards Gamla Stan, the old town. Here we stroll through old, narrow streets to the royal palace. We briefly make funny faces in front of the royal guards, but we don't wait for the changing of the guard scheduled for an hour later.

We prefer to enjoy the great atmosphere of the city, which is located beautifully on a fjord. Felix buys a Swedish flag in the souvenir shop and then we return on the now crowded subway, including a short conversation with a Swedish Austrian who is happy to speak a little Viennese.

We still have a 2-hour journey ahead towards Lyrestad, but after a long day, we don't go all the way there and instead find a place to stay overnight halfway in the middle of the forest.

Searching for a place to wild camp is not easy without local knowledge. We often take narrow forest roads blindly, not knowing where they end - turning around with the 7m monster is difficult to impossible in a dead end. Adventure, yippee!
