That escalated quickly

Those were three very long days. My 'I'm flying to Guatemala tomorrow' quickly turned into a little trip around the world. It all started with a plane in which the air conditioning failed while taxiing. At some point on the tarmac it became clear that all of the aircraft's electronics had failed. Without further ado, everyone had to get out and walk back to the airport. Then we tried to board twice again, but both times we stopped again, no one could tell us anything, after a while they sent us all (!) to the small subway in the airport with meal vouchers, which caused a queue to stretch right through the small one Terminal formed and in the middle it said 'we're flying now'. I held on adamantly until I had my sub in my hand and then ran to the gate :D It quickly became clear that no one would catch their connecting flight (of course), which is why I ran around aimlessly in Bogota, looking for someone who can help me. The rebooking was actually extremely easy, but it was four hours later than my original flight and (fun fact) surprise surprise via Panama. But that also meant that I wasn't in Guatemala city until almost 7 hours later, by then it was already night and I decided not to take a taxi for another hour to Antigua. End of song, I'm now sitting happy in my hotel in Antigua, a day later than planned and definitely more exhausted than planned and guys, it's cool! Pleasant! The rooms don't need air conditioning and even though I only had a quick bite to eat, it's pretty nice here. On the way I met five more Flintas and I just love that it feels like it's getting more and more and everyone supports each other. Now we'll sleep first and from tomorrow I'll start eating my way through the shops here :D
