Swiss curves

It's a bit cooler this morning, but it's supposed to stay dry. So we pack up our motorcycles and head towards the Simplon Pass. It's very moderate, no tight hairpin turns, long curves. The scenery up there is beautiful though, even if it's quite chilly!

In the beautiful town of Brigg, we take a lunch break. The sun is really warming up now!

We continue for a while through the lush meadows in the valley, with that wonderful scent of mountain meadow hay... and everything is blooming in all colors. Past the Furka train loading station, memories come flooding back. On our last visit here, there was such a storm that instead of taking the mountain pass road, we used the Furka train. It was fun, riding our motorcycles onto the platform and into a beautiful old railcar. With the bikes secured, off we went into the mountain. 30 minutes later, we were surrounded by a lake because we were soaked, came out on the other side and rode to the hotel. Then the sun came out again...

But today everything is dry and good 😁.

The road winds up in narrower hairpin turns. A tour bus coming down the mountain has to reverse and block the entire traffic because the turns were not designed for vehicles of that length..

From Furka, over the Oberalp Pass and we're already in Disentis, checking into Hotel Alpsu. It's our third time here already because it's so beautiful and the regional cuisine is simply unbeatable 😋 delicious!
