After 8 days of quarantine, I decided to go to the mountains again. I went to Askvoll, where I had been before.
I walked through a quiet valley for a long time, but then I realized that my path would lead to one of the mountains and that the ascent would be very steep. I quickly grabbed my water filter and filled up my water bottle at a small stream.
When I reached the summit of Eggene/Siktanuten, it was very windy and my baseball cap almost blew away.
It seemed like the neighboring mountain Blåfjell was only a few hundred meters away, but in reality I had to go down into a valley and then up again. But this time I really reached the summit! In January, I had to turn back because a storm front was getting too close. I sent a picture to Vlada, with whom I had hiked before.
When I was already back home, she wrote to me that she was just swimming and asked if I wanted to come over. So I grabbed my bathing gear and went back to Askvoll to go to the fjord with Vlada and other volunteers who were visiting her.
The water was icy cold, but after a while you got used to it and then you noticed the high salt content. Later we went towards Dale, where we volunteers made a video for the Pride Parade that will be shown in a livestream.
Late in the evening, when it had cooled down a bit (we had 29°C at noon), we wanted to take a walk in the stream, but the water was too cold for us, so we preferred the living room.
