Aoraki Mt Cook

A bɔra kɛnɛ kan: 18.03.2019

Today I set off towards the mountains again, more precisely to Aoraki/Mt Cook Village. So to the other side of Mt Cook. Then I did a little hike in the Hooker Valley (but didn't meet anyone...) and what can I say, it was beautiful! The photos will give you an impression. Here you can imagine some locations from Lord of the Rings (Caradras, Helms Deep, Rohan, Minas Tirith). The hike was a bit exhausting because of the heat and my pace, so I stopped at a place and had a pizza (Death by cheese), so there's still some left for tonight. After that, I went to the Edmund Hillary Alpine Center and watched a 3D movie about Mt Cook. So it was a very successful day with breathtaking panoramas! Mountains, glaciers, icebergs under a blue sky... Now I'm in Glenntanner close to Mt Cook and hope for some more beautiful impressions. If that doesn't work out, there are estimated hundreds of rabbits here, three were sitting around my car earlier, it won't be boring!

P.s.: internet problems again, rest of the photos will follow as soon as possible...

P.p.s.: photos complete
