Arrived...

Hello and welcome on board!
A few days ago, I started my first journey to the high winter north of Europe. The first few days went by so quickly that I can't remember everything anymore... I was warmly welcomed by a great crew with a lot of understanding and was able to integrate and settle into the ship pretty quickly. The paths are still a bit confusing and I still struggle with orientation from time to time... Nevertheless, I can't imagine not being here right now. The upcoming tasks will be very varied after the initial briefing and I'm really looking forward to it.
So, on Saturday the first journey started for 14 days towards Norway. The first day at sea was dedicated to training, where I bombarded my great colleagues with endless questions and was able to get rid of some question marks in my head. Then I was prepared for the first excursion and yesterday we finally reached our first port in Haugesund. Independently, I accompanied my first excursion alone as a scout. We explored the Akrafjord and one of the largest waterfalls on earth, the Langfoss, on a boat trip. We also had a traditional Norwegian lunch buffet at a farm with many regional specialties. A delicious feast for sure... Breathtaking landscapes were a constant companion on this tour despite the bad weather. Nevertheless, I was able to get a first impression of my new task and was pretty quickly excited about what is yet to come. Tomorrow we will dock in Bodø and explore more corners of this beautiful country. Stay tuned... ;-)
