Today we left Camping Strasko after 14 days. It was sooo beautiful and it was definitely the right decision to stay longer. With the ACSI camping card, we only paid about 250 ⏠for two weeks, so not only super nice, but also super cheap! We definitely won't be here for the last time!
After a warm farewell from all camping neighbors, after emptying the wastewater, emptying the toilet, and loading the car onto the trailer, we set off around 10:30 a.m. We already knew the way to Zadar from the day trip.
Here Ingo absolutely had to go to Bauhaus - I won't ask any further đŹ. On this occasion, we also go shopping at Lidl. Four six-packs of mineral water, that should last for a while... Of course, you can buy water everywhere. But the Croatian brands are all very high in sodium. Not very kidney-friendly and not tasty at all.
On the way, we decide against the highway and for the coastal road. It takes a bit longer, but the view at some places compensates for everything!
Since yesterday we have already called a few campsites to check for available spots (which is actually difficult, even now in the off-season đ ), our destination is "Camping Belvedere," about 5 km before Trogir. From here we have a good starting point to visit Trogir and Split. After 3-5 days, we want to continue to the island of Hvar. The ferry also departs from Split.
The further we go down, the more we realize that we don't like the places at all. For example, we found Ĺ ibenik quite ugly (on par with Rijeka đŹ). And even the smaller towns: everything is concentrated on the narrow coastal strip between the busy coastal road and the water. Quiet campsites, which we love, are hard to find here.
Camping Belvedere has 4 stars and is very nicely terraced. Nevertheless, everything is very tight. When sitting in front of the motorhome, you are almost on the road. And the beach is a disaster. How on earth would anyone think of having a vacation here?? No, we will stay here for a maximum of 2-3 nights to explore the area.
Our dinner at the campsite's restaurant was not that good either. As a vegetarian, you are always at a disadvantage in Croatia, but usually there is at least 1 vegetarian dish on the menu. Well, see for yourself in the photos what the vegetarian dish looked like here đ
