Our journey to Joshua Tree National Park was difficult as the road we originally intended to take was closed due to flooding. Therefore, we had to take a detour of 200 km...


Behind the southern entrance, there was initially a cactus garden, which should be explored with sturdy footwear - especially if you leave the paths or are careless. We encountered a woman wearing sandals who had several red dots on her toe. As she told us, she had stepped on a fluffy-looking ball...


Along the way, we could see bizarre rock formations, some of which resembled a skull:


Finally, we reached the 'Joshua Trees', which are not actually trees but a species of agave. They were named by the Mormons, who were reminded of Joshua, who stretched out his arms to show Israel the way to the promised land.
