After our short visit to Pécs, we took the train back north. Once again, we ended up at Budapest-Keleti station, where we had some time to kill and immediately shared our breakfast with mice.
Our goal was to reach Krakow in the next few days. In order not to spend a whole day on the train and not to miss the entire Slovakia on our journey, we decided to make a short stop in Nitra. With its 7700 inhabitants, it is the sixth largest city in Slovakia and so there were a few sights to see.
After a total of seven hours of travel, we reached Nitra and walked for thirty minutes to our accommodation 'Nitra Glycerin', this time a hostel. After check-in, we walked towards the center, where we saw sights such as the Nitra Castle, the theater, and the nice pedestrian zone. Following the advice of our host, we enjoyed Slovak cuisine. Unfortunately, Mini's mixed grill plate also included liver, which he had overlooked on the menu beforehand. So he left the whole liver from the already huge portion, which annoyed him a lot.
After we regained our strength, it was already getting dark and a steady wind was picking up. We quickly got some postcards, wrote messages on them, and found a post office where we bought the necessary stamps. Feeling a bit tired from all the train rides and walks, we ordered a taxi back to the hostel and prepared for the next day of our trip, traditionally.
