From Big Island to Maui, Day 6

Today is another travel day. After breakfast, we packed our belongings into the car and spent the remaining time until our afternoon departure in Kailua Kona. At the airport, we had an unpleasant encounter. The lady at the baggage check-in was incredibly unfriendly. She made Rudi and Eva rearrange their bags because of 2.5 (1.25 kg) and 1.5 pounds (0.75 kg) of excess weight. And her tone was nauseating.

However, we had free seating on the half-empty plane. None of us had ever experienced this before. Of course, we immediately took seats near the emergency exits for the legroom. The flight lasted only 20 minutes.

Maui welcomed us with heavy rain showers. The accommodation here is luxurious.
