Monteverde Weekend trip

Uñt’ayata: 08.01.2018

This is the first school week that has ended with a test, woohoo... A week with lots of sunny and hot days, I like it :)

On the weekend, some of us organized a trip to Monteverde in the cloud forest :) On the way, we were stopped by the police (subcategory), had a visa check and a fine imposed. At the beginning, they demanded 600 dollars. When we told them that we don't have 600 dollars, they seriously asked how much we could pay, haha. We didn't pay anything and later found out that they weren't allowed to stop and fine us... what a waste of time ;). When we arrived in Monteverde after about 3 hours, we had a little shock. I - as always - had to buy a sweater... Yes, from 31 degrees to 20 degrees with wind, so it feels much colder.

Then we directly went to see the cloud forest. Something completely different, but beautiful :)

On Sunday, we also went zip-lining. It was a lot of fun and we could admire the view of the forest and the region from above.

Meanwhile, I'm staying with the second of the 5 sisters in Samara. Also very nice. She cooks very well. Here, we mainly have rice with beans and something on the side - mostly chicken and salad... but I like it :)

This morning, I went surfing early. It is a great bay for learning to surf and it was a lot of fun.
