The bus ride down the mountain is like a roller coaster ride and is an adventure in itself. Luckily, we are halfway down and continue the rest more comfortably to Nha Trang. We only spend one night here because we want to continue further north to the center of Vietnam.
After arriving, we make our way to a thermal bath resort. This is known for its mud baths. First, we bathe in the mineral baths, but they are a bit too hot for the climate. They even seem warmer than at home. Then we go to the water slides, which are a bit remote. When we arrive there, however, half of the slides are closed/under construction. We slide on the few open ones and after a short time, return to the baths. Of course, we still have to test the mud bath. We can get into one of the tubs where mud has been let in for us. The mud feels very fine. It's not as muddy as you imagine. It is diluted with water. The bath was also very hot. For us, it was less special than we hoped, but we had fun trying it.
In the evening, we eat at a Greek restaurant again. We always need some variety from Asian food.
We take it easy the next day. In the evening, our sleeping bus goes to Hoi An. During the day, we are in cafes and by the sea. On the street, we find a cool hairdresser where Justin gets his hair cut.
Shortly before departure in the evening, Kimena suddenly feels very unwell and would rather take a flight instead of the night bus. Nevertheless, we walk to the bus station and decide to take the ride. Kimena feels better and the journey goes smoothly, we even arrive an hour earlier than planned in Hoi An. However, we are not necessarily delighted because it is 5 o'clock in the morning. We don't quite understand why we didn't leave Nha Trang later. But that's how it is.
Next report will continue with Hoi An.
