The entry into the US went surprisingly smoothly for me. At the check-in at Mexico City airport, my passport and other documents were carefully checked, but shortly after I was already sitting on the plane. The officer at L.A. airport wanted to know everything again: purpose of the trip, duration, finances... Three months seemed too long to him. A sabbatical year for teachers also seemed suspicious to him. He thought my 40 US dollars cash in my wallet was too little for three months. But when I could show him a return ticket to Frankfurt, he was satisfied and gave me the stamp. Fortunately, this ticket was cheap and can be rescheduled. Because what do I want to do in Frankfurt in July?
