This morning the icy air from the North Cape caught up with us again. At 2°C outside and also felt inside, nothing works as well anymore. That's why we were on the road earlier than before.
After the rugged mountains by the sea, today the vastness over the yellow to deep orange hills of Lapland was the absolute eye-catcher. You can quickly get used to the reindeer trotting leisurely across the road, but the long bumps in the road are an absolute nuisance - in split seconds, we check whether everything is securely stowed in the motorhome! But so far nothing has been broken.
To avoid sitting in the car all day, we had chosen a hike in the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park in Finland. A great view is advertised as the highlight of the hike - we were there, only the view took a day off today. The clouds were so low that we had about 10m visibility from the top and were already glad to find the way. After being greeted by rain on the way back, we decided to drive a few more kilometers to warm up.
Oh, I almost forgot - we can go to bed earlier now! Finland is one hour ahead of us.
