Today, first on the program was the market of Mai Chau. Here it seems to have almost everything. After that, we visited a small village in the neighborhood.
And then we hit the road again. Destination: the small town of Ninh Binh, which crouches under huge sugarloaf mountains. The locals call it the "Dry Halong Bay," one of the most fascinating landscapes in Vietnam, which is not so dry. Bizarre limestone blocks and green hills, through which river flows wind with water lily leaves the size of manhole covers.

The slow ride in the bamboo sampan through the marshes was an experience. According to the brochure, there is a lot of silence. However, the boat drivers probably didn't read that section because they were squawking over the sampans. Above us? No idea. Now we have three hours of free time. Hopefully, I can catch up on some sleep. And tomorrow at 7:30 a.m., we will continue to Halong Bay. Then we will be on a junk boat for two days.
