Oh how beautiful Slovenia is...

After a rather rough first night in our mobile vehicle (cold, noisy neighbors, unusually narrow bed ;) ), the day started with a bad mood. However, this should soon give way to a thirst for adventure.

Despite extreme tiredness, today we set out to hike along the Soca River to the town of Soca. We walked a total of 10 km and crossed beautiful landscapes, balanced on shaky suspension bridges, and climbed narrow paths along deep canyons through which the Soca river winds its way. This allowed us to get very close to the shore of the blue-green river, whose stones glisten ivory white. During a small picnic, we snacked on Pfefferbeißer and rolls that we had brought from Munich, with the rushing river and adventurous kayakers finding their way through the currents of the narrow canyons.

After about 5 hours of hiking, we arrived in Soca and didn't have to wait long for the bus that took us back tired and exhausted to Kamp POLOVNIK near the picturesque, small mountain village of Bovec.

Tomorrow we will go to the underground source lake of the Soca, before heading south to the largest cave systems in Europe.

We are excited....
