Day 2: Battle for a place to sleep

প্ৰকাশিত: 10.03.2019

Just before departure, we received the message at the gate in Frankfurt that our booked accommodation in Hanoi was no longer available. Despite feeling uneasy, we started our journey full of enthusiasm. After over twelve hours of flying, we were able to find a new accommodation in Kuala Lumpur, on the way from one gate to another. After another three hours on the plane, we finally landed in the capital of Vietnam. From the airport to the city center and to our hotel, we shared a taxi with a student from Bamberg and her friend, whom we had met on the plane. However, when we finally arrived at the hotel, we received another bad news. Apparently, there were problems with the credit card, which is why the room could not be provided to us. Eventually, we were sent to a 'friendly' hotel (not quite sure how the two hotels are related to each other 😂). After almost 30 hours of travel, we were finally able to check into a room and put our feet up. In the evening, we explored the nearby area north of Hoan Kiem Lake to find some relaxation after the turbulent start.

Das jetzige Zimmer schaut nicht so gut aus wie das gebuchte. Aber nach 30 Stunden war euch das sicher egal.
