Our ferry to Koh Tao departed around 14:00, which Tom and I took.
However, Julien and Gary had to recover from the Fool Moon Party a bit longer. đ
Gary managed to make it, though, and arrived with the last ferry around 17:00.
We then took a taxi to our accommodation right on the beach promenade (Sairee Beach).đ The rooms / bungalows were very basic, more suitable for people with lower expectations. They only had a fan and the bathroom was also a bit unusual. But it only cost 6 âŦ / night / pP. đ
đđ
That evening, we went to a beachfront restaurant for a delicious meal and watched the sunset. đđ
The next day, Julien arrived with his cousin Chris and his friend Cen. In the evening, we went out together and watched the fire shows right on the beach. đ
Koh Tao is located in the southeast of Thailand and forms a good ferry connection between the islands with Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. Koh Tao is the smallest and, in my opinion, the most beautiful island. It is also the cheapest of the three.đ
You can enjoy peace/nature there, but there are also sections with many bars and restaurants, depending on which side of Koh Tao you are on.
Not much happened with me over the next few days, we mostly just relaxed, swam, ate, and went to clubs in the evenings.
On the penultimate day, we went on a snorkeling trip around Koh Tao and Nan Yung. We were picked up around 09:30 and only returned home in the evening around 17:00. The full-day trip cost only 12 âŦ and included lunch. It was very cool, and I also got a bit more color from the trip.đ¤Ŗ
Unfortunately, Tom said goodbye to us on 06.03. and continued towards Bangkok to meet his friends.
Chris and Cen also continued to Krabi.
Julien, Gary, and I then left again for the night ferry to Bangkok the next evening around 22:00.
The trip to Bangkok only cost us 25 euros, but we were on the road for over 17 hours.đ
