There was something in the coffee...

MIZIE - good old Mizie picks up his proteges, always on the lookout for a coconut shake on the way to our new home.... and safely sets us in Eagleye Cottage (https://www.booking.com/hotel/my/eagleye-village-cottage-1.en-gb.html?aid=356980;label=gog235jc-1DCAsooQFCGWVhZ2xleWUtdmlsbGFnZS1jb3R0YWdlLTFIM1gDaKEBiAECmAEJuAEHyAEN2AED6AEBiAIBqAIDuALg4IPqBcACAQ;sid=3f7b9105614ee69b35636103869d7cb9;dist=0&keep_landing=1&sb_price_type=total&type=total&) at Tanjung Rhu. Our poultry outside the door welcomes us, and I have the feeling that the rooster has taken a bit of a liking to Dania.

In any case, we are critically watched, received with wings angled and fresh💩on our veranda as a welcome greeting.

The beach outside the door is soooo beautiful and we spend the rest of the day in our new surroundings .... occasionally also indoors, because it is unbearably hot!

The next morning (31.7.) - thanks to our rooster for waking us up - we have a coffee with our chickens and there must be something in the brown concoction that makes me say, “hmmm, I think I can get used to the idea of getting back on a scooter - but only as a passenger.”

Suddenly - thoughts just born, we are already sitting on a scooter and driving to a waterfall after our Nasi Goreng breakfast and then to Skull Beach. Either the speedometer on our ride is broken or we are cruising so slowly that the needle doesn't even bother to move. Either way, Dania drives safely and I feel quite comfortable. And when you ride a scooter, you perceive everything much more intensely... the exhaust fumes, the wind, or the monkeys snacking on the flattened lizard by the roadside. Our excursion finally takes us to Kuah at the night market. We indulge, but the Thai crepe with Oreo and chocolate sauce brings even the strongest woman - me - to collapse. As a countermeasure, I immediately sign us up for Pilates.
