With the firm intention of reaching warmer climes as quickly as possible, we set off towards southern France at 6:30 am. When the supermarkets finally opened, we headed to the nearest one. It was quite late at 8:30 am, as we thought. - Perhaps due to our current waking mentality caused by the baby. The huge selection of fresh and local products here has impressed us. We wandered around like children at the fresh fish counter and the fragrant pastries, and satisfied our big appetite right there in the parking lot. We continued southwest on country roads through beautiful old French provinces, past lavender fields, vineyards, and yes, eventually areas with palm trees and Mediterranean gable roof settlements. Unfortunately, it was still cloudy and partly rainy in many places, so today we only reached a maximum of 15 degrees Celsius. After another nearly 760 km of daily distance with our brave dream baby, we stopped overnight in beautiful Narbonne, France at Camping La Nautique. Each pitch here has its own bathroom with a shower and sink, so after dinner, I eagerly headed there for a hot shower and a relaxed dishwashing session, while Peter explored the area with Berno. Arriving at the bathroom with all my belongings (I had even thought of the possibility of missing toilet paper), I stepped into the shower, which (admittedly) lost temperature after about 10 minutes. After a reluctantly interrupted shower experience, I finally want to dry off and realize that I had thought of everything except for a towel. :-I Well, what can I say... I have never appreciated the presence of a tea towel more. :-D Enriched with this exact experience, I once again realize that the camping type is still fully present in me. :-)
