Today we will be more active again: After resting and sunbathing at the beach yesterday, we will wake up at 6 o'clock today. The Krka National Park is waiting for us.
When we arrive at one of the 5 entrances in Skradin at 8 o'clock, we park our car and start walking into the national park.
When we arrive at the highlight of the park three quarters of an hour later, we can hardly believe our eyes.
We are completely alone at the Skradinski Buk (probably the most photographed waterfall in Croatia). Normally, you take a boat to the waterfall. But since the boat only leaves every hour from Skradin, the "9 o'clock boat" was not there yet and the visitors of the "8 o'clock boat" were already scattered in the park. Perfect timing!!!
By the way, the waterfall is the most beautiful waterfall we have ever seen. Unbelievable!
Since we are still alone, we have plenty of time to enjoy the waterfall in peace. When we finish the circular path through the park 1 ½ hours later and arrive back at Skradinski Buk, it's a different picture. There are people everywhere on the paths around the waterfall. We actually wanted to go swimming here, but we decide against it because the water is also full of people. We take a lunch break, read, and then start our way back.
Nevertheless, we all agree: The trip was worth it. The national parks in Croatia are amazing (especially early in the morning) : )
