#46 Summer between the years

December 27th - 29th, 2021: Cambrils

F. What was already announced yesterday in Peñiscola, was continued today. Sun and over 20 degrees simply invite you to wear shorts and t-shirt. Even if some locals don't see it that way and you sometimes get strange looks from the side. But one "piece of clothing" has become significantly more important in the past few days. There has been a mask requirement in public areas indoors and outdoors since December 24th, and surprisingly many Spaniards also adhere to it (even on the beach). In any case, we went to the beach and collected a fair amount of sand. Unfortunately, the wind has increased a bit, so it wasn't very pleasant in the sandstorm on the beach. It was somewhat more pleasant in the city, and the old town of Cambrils is also very beautiful to look at.

To escape the wind, we drove to Castelldefels after two days, where we were two weeks ago (#41). Yes, the next few days we're heading back to Barcelona, where we'll be spending New Year's Eve with friends. I just hope they don't bring the cold rainy weather from Germany.
