We have moved to a new domicile here in Chiang Mai since noon today. After spending the past 5 nights in the middle of the old town, we are now a bit outside the city, but in by far the best accommodation so far in terms of facilities, rooms, and friendliness of the staff! It's a dream. Based on all our previous accommodations, I didn't think it was possible to have bathrooms that are close to German standards! Here, we have a real shower separated from the rest of the bathroom by a glass wall! It's wonderful what one can be happy about! :-)))
We also have a pool, which, unlike the sea water, provides a significant refreshment!! Brrrr.....
We also directly met another German family who are traveling with two toddlers. The food is so good that Nora has even become more willing to try new things. For dinner, she picked a Thai rice soup....and ate it too! I was impressed! :-) I had a slightly spicier noodle soup, which is usually eaten with chopsticks here. Motivated by the challenge, I immediately splattered the noodles back into the bowl with my first attempt, and because it splashed so nicely, I also got the soup directly in my eye! Let me tell you, it burns!!!
Tomorrow we will explore the grounds further here, as there is a house supported by the hotel for disadvantaged children next door, which we will visit.
Now it's time to sleep, let's hope that tonight will be as peaceful as the previous one. Nora seems to be getting better!
