Weekend in Tallinn

On Friday morning, we left for Helsinki by train, and from there we took a ferry for 2.5 hours to Tallinn. We arrived in the late afternoon and after checking in at the hostel, we had burgers in a converted train compartment. In the evening, four of us went to have a drink in the city, but we were all very tired. After a night's sleep, we headed to Telliskivi Creative City, the hipster/alternative neighborhood of Tallinn. After that, we went to the Old Town, where we split up because the Italians in our group were naturally hungry for breakfast. After more sightseeing, we got hungry again and found a restaurant that looked like it was from the Middle Ages, with all the decorations. In the evening, we went to an Italian restaurant and then to a bar called Labor Bar, where the bartenders mixed our drinks in laboratory glassware and wore lab coats. But we got tired again soon and went home. Field (the Thai guy who reminded me a bit of the character from Hangover) went to another club during that time and we had to take his jacket and cap with us, as he stumbled home without them, hahaha. On Sunday, after checking out, we split up and I went with the girls to have breakfast in the modern part of the city, and then it was time to go home. Funny story: Field booked the wrong ferry, so he ended up staying an extra night.
