I am becoming more relaxed.

12.10.2018:

Starting the day with a view of the sea. Had cupcakes for breakfast at the hostel. Met Patrick from Wuppertal at breakfast. He had just arrived in Phi Phi. Had cocktails and lunch together before heading to the beach.
In the evening, we went to a bar and had drinks. To my delight, they had the game Connect Four. We watched jump rope and a fire show on the beach. Then we lay on mats at a bar right by the water, which was getting closer and closer. After a while, we had to move to a different spot.
Patrick told me about his travels in Malaysia (my next destination) and also in Indonesia. He usually used Couchsurfing (a platform where people offer to let travelers stay with them and show them around/engage in activities with them) to connect with locals in the respective countries and experience the culture and way of life directly. I had only tried it once before in Dublin, but it was definitely a great experience. I definitely want to try it in Asia now as well.
