New Zealand - Day 7 - Waitomo with Glowworm Cave

Today, the drive from Hot Water Beach to Waitomo was on the agenda. On the way, we stopped at the Historic Rich Gold Mining Karangahake Gorge. A very cool walk along a river that leads through an old gold mine.

At noon, we reached Waitomo, where we had booked the Black River Rafting - Labyrinth. With a wetsuit and an inner tube, we entered a river in a cave. Jumping down waterfalls, admiring glowworms on the ceiling, and more were the highlights of this tour. It was a lot of fun, of course.
