How I look forward to the sweets in Switzerland!
Ela ada - the only dessert I like here! This typical specialty from Kerala consists of ground nuts and coconut, wrapped in a dough made of rice flour and then steamed in a banana leaf. Simply delicious and not too sweet. The other desserts are not really tasty. Most of the time, it's a pudding mixed with who knows what in some gratin dish. It doesn't look appetizing and it's not really tasty either. Sorry, but the desserts won't work for me! Fortunately. So I can still occasionally stick to my sugar-free diet. Or so... lol
Today wasn't so busy. Ajitha is sick (apparently she collapsed after the last massage yesterday and had to be taken to the hospital! she's off today. Actually, she wasn't feeling well last week either and had to go to the hospital. She doesn't want to take a break because she won't earn any money otherwise. And she urgently needs it. Her husband has been unemployed for a long time and so the already tight budget is even more burdened. I'm worried about her!
So, the massage was done by the second therapist, Aswathi. And Bindhu joined as the third and fourth hand. Because the massages here are 4-hand massages. I received the same treatment as yesterday. The ear treatment still seemed relatively pointless to me today. But what can you do. Maybe the fumigation is more of a mental thing. Smile
Yoga was a hit today! Hall no. 2 was fully occupied. 13 people fought for a spot for their mats. It was still a great experience. Sweat keeps running down my back or forehead or both constantly. But I've already gotten used to it. Well, not to the sweat, but to yoga! That's why I will continue with it at home! The yoga mat is already ordered online! Thanks to the internet and Galaxus! And I've already almost internalized that I have to get up 30 minutes earlier for it and I'm prepared for it! OM, Daniela. OM. Everything will be fine.... OM
By the way, speaking of yoga: a few days ago, Hall 2 was closed for 2 days. The next day, I also saw why. They had repainted the floor. Red with black decorations. It was already like that before, but a bit worn out. It looks great. After the yoga class, we all got up, lifted the yoga mats off the floor... or at least tried to... because they stubbornly stuck to the floor. With a bit of force, it finally worked. Oops. Including the freshly applied paint! Large pieces tore off from the floor and the old, faded one came out from underneath. Yikes! Apparently, 2 days of drying time were not long enough in this humid climate.
Oh, by the way, what do you think of my new necklace? Okay, not exactly subtle. BUT, and precisely because of that, some of you will say: Daneli jewelry (meaning it matches Daniela and her preference for necklaces in rather large sizes). That's right! I think it's great. Even though it's almost as heavy as it looks... But I just can't come back from a vacation, no matter where I am, without having bought jewelry. Well, others buy something else.
My return is getting closer and closer. On Thursday, I will have my exit consultation. So there is still enough time to get the various remedies that I will take with me to Switzerland. Oops! A few more grams in my suitcase... okay, it doesn't matter anymore! It's critical anyway. But I'm prepared for a luggage carrier who will collapse here at the hotel and a car that will run on the rims on the way to the airport. Plus, the approximately 5 possible situations that await me at check-in, can, or actually should. Smile. I will report on it. I have 10 hours to tell you EVERYTHING in detail. I have to do something at the airport after all!
