Let's talk about accommodations while traveling.
When you're on a trip, you need a place to stay. There are various options for living out of a suitcase: tent, vacation home, park bench, guesthouse, Hotel Adlon, conference center, youth hostel, cave, pilgrim's hostel, and more.
The possibilities are endless, you just have to make a decision. And I've made mine:
Hostel! đ
As close to the bus station as possible, as close to the city center as possible, with internet please, and then I also look at the price.
That's how it went in Bratislava, Prague, and now in Copenhagen.
I'll remain silent about Budapest at this point.
Now people ask me, 'Really? The overnight stay in Prague only cost 9 euros? Amazing! What's included?'
Nothing, absolutely nothing! đ
And I'd like to dispel further rumors and myths:
I don't have a room to myself! But I don't share the bed! They are 8-12 bed rooms. I SLEEP there, I don't LIVE there. So it's totally okay for me.
And in Bratislava, Prague, and now in Copenhagen, it's working perfectly with the roommates.
I'll remain silent about Budapest at this point.
What else do people ask me?
â Aren't my valuables stolen?
You know me, I have nothing of value. Even roommates from poorer regions of the world don't steal from me, they actually add something out of pity.
Plus, there are lockers or bed drawers. You just have to bring a lock on your trip!
â Are there showers and toilets?
Hello? What kind of question is that? Of course, sometimes in the hallway or like here, in the room, individually, lockable, clean...
I'll remain silent about Budapest.... etc.
â Don't people snore terribly?
I do, the others don't. đ
Oh... Budapest!
â But isn't it separated by gender?
Kind of! There are separate dormitories, but if you're consistent, which I am in this case, you go to mixed dormitories and save 1 euro per night. đģ
And no, it doesn't bother me at all!
Yesterday, for example, I went to bed early, around 9 p.m., and there was no one else in the large dormitory.
And when I woke up refreshed at around 7 a.m., there were little Asian girls all around me.
Crazy!
