After exploring Amsterdam on foot, we decide to take a 1.5-hour canal ride. The tickets are quickly bought. Tickets can be purchased throughout the city, and we buy ours at the Anne Frank House in a small café. The boat arrives quickly and the ride begins. The driver gives us the tip to sit in the back of the boat. Although it was outside, it wasn't raining at the moment, and we were completely alone there. We could take much better photos from here than from inside. Done deal. We dried the bench as best we could and used our rain jackets as a cushion.
During the ride through Amsterdam's canals, we were able to rest our tired feet and still see some of this beautiful city. Unfortunately, it started raining again after a while, so we had to retreat inside. Luckily, the boat wasn't very crowded, so we sat right by the window and could enjoy the rest of the ride in the warmth and dryness. The view from outside was obviously better, but inside, we could at least listen to the explanations about the respective stations.
Unfortunately, the 1.5 hours passed quickly, so we had to get off at our stop. At least it had stopped raining by now, so we could spend the wettest part of today on the boat. How convenient!
It was slowly time for some food, so our path led us to the Food Hallen.
