Another day of our trip to England was spent on a trip to York. It's not just around the corner and required several hours of train travel, but it was definitely worth it! York is a very charming, typical English city that is worth seeing.

We wanted to start with a tour of the city. However, it started snowing... or hailing... or whatever that was! So we had to take refuge in a Starbucks. Oh, and just as a reminder: we were there at Pentecost... in May... and yes... snow! Well, luckily it eventually stopped, so we could continue our city tour.

York also has a small park with a ruined castle, which is definitely worth a visit. There are lots of very tame squirrels running around, which you can even feed by hand! :)

To finish off, we took a little walk on the city walls before heading back to Sheffield by train.

Goodbye, England!

Soon after, it was time to return to Germany. A week really flies by!
