This morning, the sky was covered with an impenetrable layer of clouds - and as it turned out throughout the day, the weather was the complete opposite of yesterday. It started snowing around noon and didn't stop.
After breakfast, we explored the picturesque old town of Quebec and finally treated ourselves to some maple taffy, since it didn't work out the day before. It was very delicious but also very sweet. Neither of us managed to finish it.
During our walk, it started snowing as well. Everything was covered in white so quickly, you couldn't even believe it.
Then we went to Wendake by car. It is an Indian reserve on the outskirts of the city. Here we visited a museum with a private tour. It was really cool and super interesting, especially being able to explore a real longhouse.
Since we had some time before dinner, we went to the Basilique de Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, the oldest pilgrimage site north of Mexico in the American continent. It's a beautiful church that we practically had to ourselves.
We returned to Wendake for dinner at the hotel restaurant. The 6-course menu with selected wines was an absolute dream.
Québec is a beautiful city. A visit here is definitely worth it. But next time, hopefully without snow. Now we're continuing by train to Montreal.
