The drive through Kenitra for breakfast and then to Rabat felt almost surreal. It was strange to see how people placed so much value on the cleanliness of the entrance road to Rabat, while just a few kilometers away the dirt takes over. We didn't feel like dealing with the crowds and decided to only drive a few streets into the city before heading back out to the countryside.

The many potholes made the drive unpleasant, as did the dangerously driving oncoming traffic. The presence of stray dogs and mutilated livestock further dampened the mood. However, we saw many storks with their nests, even on the towers of the countless mosques and palm trees they found their place to breed. The vastness of the country was impressive and showed us the beauty of Morocco beyond the urban hustle and bustle. After a much too long drive, we finally found a suitable place to sleep on a farm, as there was unfortunately no suitable overnight accommodation before that.
