19th stage "Beyneu, Kazakhstan"

Beyneu is my last stop in Kazakhstan for the time being and for many overlanders it is the stepping stone to Uzbekistan. The road conditions from the border to around Nukus are said to be quite a challenge. In addition, there are almost no overnight accommodation options until Kurgand and apparently no petrol stations either. As a precaution, I got myself a spare canister and filled it and the moped up first. This should get me through to Kurgand if in doubt. I plan to set off early so that I can definitely arrive in daylight. I am really looking forward to the border formalities and the subsequent journey through Uzbekistan. The journey from Shetpe to Beyneu was very pleasant thanks to the good road conditions and the "low" temperatures. Only the strong crosswind was occasionally a nuisance.
