A little addition to last night. We found a place in a nice beer garden, but it wasn't easy. We had made a reservation, but when we arrived, there was no table available. When one became available, a couple who had also made a reservation arrived at the same time. We agreed to share a table since it was relatively large and round and we could maintain distance. During our conversation, we discovered that, unbelievably, they were also from Cologne. Additionally, they were traveling with a camper van, so we had plenty to talk about that evening. It was very entertaining. The next morning, we were able to have breakfast outside again. However, we had to go to the bakery as our hotel didn't offer breakfast. The word "hotel" for this rundown place was greatly exaggerated. It was actually a furnished room that the owner of the Chinese restaurant on the ground floor rented out. The only advantage was its location right in the center and a balcony where we could admire the starry sky in the evening. Today's route was surprisingly hilly with several decent but short ascents. Unfortunately, my chain had some issues again. However, it didn't slow us down much today. We found another small lake for a swim at lunchtime. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay there after the refreshing swim because there was absolutely no shade. The last 15 km to Anklam were tough. A strong northerly wind hit us directly in the face, and the temperature was 31 degrees Celsius. We're glad to have reached our destination. Tomorrow, we're heading to Usedom.
