After not hearing from you for a long time, you'll now get something to read again.
After our beautiful stay in Malibu, the expectations were high, we wanted another perfect spot! So we continued along Highway 1. We had a wonderful stay in Santa Barbara, but we were not allowed to park there overnight, so we continued and eventually got tired. So when it got hilly, we stopped at a small rest area and stayed there overnight. In the morning, we continued without breakfast and drove through mountains with yellow fields and ugly little towns consisting of gas stations, car dealerships, and small motels. Eventually, an unpleasant fog rolled in and Bene got hungry, so we spontaneously decided to take the exit that said "Morro Bay," without knowing what to expect. When we arrived in the little town, it seemed to be a small fishing village with moderate tourism. There was a small bakery with all sorts of sweet treats, perfect. After a few cozy hours, Morro Bay felt like home and there were more than just a few tourists. Because the special thing was hidden in the fog. The Morro Rock, a block of volcanic rock, is apparently not so unknown. We parked our RV right below it and were happy because there was a beach (we didn't swim once), a basketball court, a giant chessboard, and, as I said, this bakery. The days were very relaxed and mostly the same, but that was fine, it was nice here. We had breakfast, relaxed, and read our books. Then we walked into town and played a round of chess. At tea time, we went to the bakery and then returned to the RV to get ready and go to the basketball court or go jogging. The evening was rounded off by a few episodes of our series. But eventually, we had to move on, but not before 5 days.
