Day 9 * hot springs in Arnedillo

Morning: Arnedillo (Rioja) * Evening: Herce (Rioja)

We have breakfast in the sun with a dream view of Arnedillo and the mountains. Late in the morning, we start our bike tour. From Arnedillo, we take the 'Via Verde' towards Arnedo. But before that, we turn off into the hills for the tour to Préjano, a beautiful and quite deserted mountain village. There is only some 'life' in the central bar.

Here we discover beautiful picnic spots and great hiking trails ... for our next vacation ... The fantastic route takes us back to Arnedillo. Plenty of sun and the mountains of Rioja around us. It doesn't get any better than this.

In the afternoon sun, we visit the hot Termas de Arnedillo again.

After a very late lunch, we drive a few kilometers with the camper to Santa Eulalia Bajera. There are caves that are accessible via a steep footpath and long wooden walkways. They can only be visited on Saturday afternoons ... but we find the door closed. Everything is locked up during the off-season. So we climb into the two caves that are not locked and enjoy the deep red rocks, the beautiful view, and the numerous vultures circling over the valley.

We settle in the next village: Herce. There, right on the 'Via Verde', we sit on the meadow in the evening sun for a long time and enjoy the beautiful landscape. The only downside are the annoying flies that are after our food ...
