We rode into the Valle de Elqui. Pablo and Barbara picked us up in Pisco Elqui at 2:30 PM. Their 2 children were with them, accompanying their parents on a ride for the first time. It was a very special day for them!
We went to Conchigua by car. It took about 40 minutes to get there. The horses were already saddled and ready. After a short briefing, we started off. It didn't take us long to feel like real cowboys😉
Pablo led us through the valley, always along the river. We were amazed at how sure-footed the horses were, as the path was sometimes very demanding. Americana, Barbara and Paolo's 5-year-old daughter, had a lot of fun when her horse ran a bit faster.
On the way back, we stopped at a 'Stupa'. Buddhist monks recently built this Stupa. The Stupa symbolizes Buddha and his teachings. There are only 2 Stupas in all of Chile.
