#20: The last day in Chiang Mai

The last day in the beautiful North of Thailand has come, as the journey continues by plane tomorrow morning. That went quickly! We don't have such a tight schedule for today. We will take a farewell tour of the city, buy food for the journey, pack and have a nice dinner in the city again.

After breakfast, we head to the beautiful shopping streets of the old town. There we stroll through the shops and enjoy the atmosphere with a nice ice cream. For lunch, we have a noodle soup at the Blue Noodle. The noodle restaurant was highly recommended to us by our landlord for lunch and offers all kinds of noodle soups. Vanessa chooses a noodle soup with meatballs, Martin chooses the one with spare ribs - excellent choice!

Afterwards, we buy some things at the 7-eleven and start packing at the accommodation. In the evening, we stroll around the Night Market and then visit a restaurant with local food and good music. We feel like in a beach bar, although it's 600 km away from the nearest beach. There we order Khao Soi, the regional specialty in Chiang Mai. It consists of a noodle soup with coconut milk, garnished with crispy noodles on top. Really delicious! To finish off, we have a cool Singha and play Connect Four (or as it's actually called: 'Martin wins').

Since we have to leave early the next day, we also go to bed early.
