To avoid lying on the bed sniffing and coughing self-pityingly all day long, I pulled myself together and went to the Garden Café. As if they knew I needed comfort, I received a beautifully decorated cappuccino. I should tell them my name once, then maybe I'll get a personalized café like Silvana. She has left traces everywhere. From time to time, I am recognized as "Silvana's friend" and asked to send greetings. But she really got into a conversation with everyone. If she had bought something twice in the same shop, she was greeted with her name and a little kiss the third time. She has a presence about her, while I am invisible. Does anyone still remember who I am? That's right, the little one next to Silvana.
The second photo shows a vehicle from the waste disposal and separation system. They are on the road seven days a week, sweeping the rubbish off the street. Whoever has to do this job has reached rock bottom. The people are dirty and tattered, some are far beyond retirement age. Since they separate plastic and tin cans from the rest of the rubbish, I assume that these one-man operations sell the recyclable waste. Actually, a good thing. Unfortunately, only a small percentage is recycled here in the country, most of it is sold to China, for example. So the rubbish goes on a journey...crazy.
