Ile aux cerfs with the catamaran

Wɔatintim: 03.03.2019

A great experience was our trip with the catamaran to Ile aux Cerfs, a small offshore island. The beaches here seem even whiter, the sand softer, the water clearer, the palm trees greener. Paradise.

(If it weren't for the other many tourists also......). No, still beautiful.

We enjoyed it very much. Especially the seemingly hours-long gentle sailing, with the warm wind.

We met a nice family on the boat, with whom we spent the day. Maxima found a new friend to play with Carla (6), and they had a lot of fun together, even though they don't speak the same language. The family happened to come from Namibia, where we had been briefly before! So there was a lot to talk about.

On the island, like in Mauritius, there is rainforest.

The two of them were able to swing like Tarzan and Jane on great lianas on a tree! That was fun!

On the way back, we enjoyed the refreshing breeze, and Lio let himself be rocked to sleep.
