After a more or less restful night, we have breakfast at Tea Horse Inn with fantastic weather and views. At 9:30 a.m., we set off for the second part of the hike. Today, it continues fairly flat and we are thrilled with the beautiful weather and scenery. There is plenty of time and opportunity to admire the hiking trail, the mountains, and the Yangtze River. The snow-covered peaks of the mountains still appear high to us, even though we are at 2500m - but they are also over 5000 meters high!
We can hear the rapids of the Yangtze River roaring in the depths. I would like to look at one of these spots: when you arrive at the destination (Tina's Guest House), you can go down to the Yangtze River and up to Tina's in about 2 hours to take the bus back to Lijiang. However, the last bus departs at 3:30 p.m. After a difficult descent (at least for me), we arrive at Tina's at 1 p.m.: Here, they estimate the ascent and descent to take 3 hours. In addition, the path is apparently very steep. I reluctantly decide against it. There is nothing else to do but have lunch with the group from last night and sit on the sun terrace until 3:30 p.m., waiting for the bus.
It was truly a fantastic hike. I was initially a bit scared because some parts looked quite exposed in photos. You also can't find a map that indicates the altitude. All maps only indicated the duration, which is apparently very individual... But everything worked out perfectly and I do not regret taking the hike.
