After over 2 weeks of diving, the introduction week of volunteer work started last Monday. At the accommodation, we were greeted by 6 newly hatched puppies (well, they're actually just sleeping).
Now we finally saw something of the world above sea level. We visited a sacred tree, a haunted house, beaches, viewpoints, and snorkelled with giant turtles in Nosy Sakatia. This weekend we spent on Nosy Komba, a sweet island south of Nosy Be. When we arrived, we hiked to the highest point of the island, which was a sweaty affair in this climate. But the view was worth it. We also got very close to some curious lemurs and saw various snakes and lizards.
Tomorrow the actual volunteer work will start with a primary school and construction work.
