Lots of sunshine, slightly cloudy
We leave Stryn quite early and soon arrive in the picturesque Norang Valley, which we already drove through with an old motorhome 14 years ago, away from the tourist-filled Geiranger Fjord.
We are on our way to Sæbø, a small village with a view of three fjords, surrounded by high mountains with rocky peaks, which has been a place of longing for us for 14 years. We liked it here so much that we even skipped visiting Ålesund. For many years, Gerd had photos hanging in her room as a reminder of the desire to come back here. Now we're here!
Our little cabin has a grass roof and we will stay for at least two nights. After setting up, we get on our bikes and ride 16 km to a lake. Of that, we have to pedal steadily uphill for about 13 km, and then it's 3 km downhill. Luckily, the water in the lake is slightly warmer than on our last swimming trip, and since there's no one else here, we swim naked.
On the way back, the 3 km uphill is quickly done and we can really enjoy the long downhill ride, with a view of the magnificent panorama of the surrounding mountains.
