Today we drive from Gweta to Nata. There is a bird sanctuary there, but due to the extreme drought (the last rain was six years ago), there are currently no birds present. In times of water abundance, thousands of flamingos can be found here.
At the viewpoint by the Makgadikgadi salt pan, we stop for a short photo opportunity. This salt pan consists of a 5-meter-thick crust of salt and sand.
We continue towards Kazangula, to the only quadripoint in the world: Namibia, Zambia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe.
Shortly after, we arrive at our accommodation in Kasane, the gateway to Chobe National Park, and have the afternoon at our leisure.
We explore the hotel grounds and look forward to the evening buffet with a chilled glass of white wine.
