The airplane in Bali took off with a two and a half hour delay. After waiting for over an hour in the plane, we had to disembark again because something needed to be repaired. I couldn't sleep when we finally took off.
I arrived in Sydney on October 23, 2019, around ten o'clock in the morning. I took a train and a ferry to Manly, where I met up with Lars and Tanja. We went shopping and then went straight to the Blue Mountains, a national park west of Sydney. The landscape is beautiful, with numerous viewpoints, hiking trails, waterfalls, and caves. We camped here for two nights.
The Grand Canyon Walk was particularly beautiful. However, it was also quite exhausting at 30 degrees Celsius! We walked from a viewpoint into a gorge, but had to walk the whole way back up as well.
When I was in Australia before, I didn't make it to the Blue Mountains. That's why I'm glad it worked out this time! :-)
